What areas does Canny Conny Dog Walks cover?

Will my dog be supervised?

Yes. Your dog will never be left unsupervised whilst out walking and in my care.

Does Canny Conny Dog Walks work weekends and Bank Holidays?

Yes I do, however, I do not work on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. There is a surcharge of £2 per walk for walks on weekends.

What happens in bad weather?

Your dog’s safety is always my top priority. I always carry fresh water on walks and, in summer, I adjust routes to make the most of shade and avoid hot pavements. A risk assessment is carried out each time to make sure it’s safe. On the rare days when it’s extremely hot, walks may be moved to cooler times of day, or if it’s unsafe to walk at all, the walk will be cancelled — and in that case, the cancellation policy will not apply.

Do dogs need to be vaccinated and up to date with flea/worm treatments?

Yes, this is the owner’s responsibility. To protect all dogs in my care (and my home environment), I ask that dogs are fully vaccinated (or have a valid titre test certificate), and kept up to date with regular flea and worm treatments. This ensures your dog stays healthy and prevents the risk of spreading parasites or illness to others.

Does Canny Conny Dog Walks offer Home Boarding?

Unfortunately, we do not offer Home Boarding at this time.

Do you have a DBS Check and appropriate insurance in place?

Yes, absolutely! Abigail holds a current DBS check (registered with the update service). The business is fully insured, and we’re also trained in Pet First Aid for your peace of mind.

Will I meet my new dog walker before the walk?

Yes of course, Abigail will always visit you and your pet to see if we are all a good match.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please see our Terms & Conditions to see Cancellation/Termination policy.

What do you do in case of emergency?

Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I’m trained in Pet First Aid and will act quickly if anything happens. For anything serious, I’ll call you straight away to talk through the situation and decide on the best plan together. If I can’t reach you and urgent care is needed, I’ll take your pet to your chosen vet or, if that’s not possible, the nearest veterinary practice to make sure they get the help they need without delay.

What security measures do you have?

Your keys are stored securely and never labelled in a way that could identify your property. In the unlikely event that a key is lost or stolen, you will be notified immediately. Your personal details are kept strictly confidential, will never be shared with third parties, and are protected in line with the Data Protection Act.
